An operating foundation built to last.
KenHome Foundation is a 501(c)(3) private foundation operating under a national mandate. We do not disburse to others. We build what we fund — and we hold what we build, in trust, as permanent civic infrastructure.
Founded on Christmas Day, 2024.
KenHome Foundation's effective date of exemption is December 25, 2024 — a date chosen deliberately.
The Foundation was established by its founder as a multigenerational institutional commitment to the workforce populations whose service to our cities is most essential and least acknowledged. Its founding date is a statement of the moral weight intended to attach to that commitment.
The Internal Revenue Service issued the Foundation's determination letter on April 22, 2025, recognizing KenHome Foundation as exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and classifying it as a private foundation within the meaning of Section 509(a).
The Foundation files IRS Form 990-PF annually and maintains full compliance with the statutory regime applicable to private foundations — minimum qualifying distributions, self-dealing prohibitions, excess business holdings restrictions, and taxable expenditure limitations.
Led by the founder. Accountable to the mission.

Ekene Chukwuagozie Enemo
Founder of KenHome Foundation and the broader KenHome portfolio of affordable housing and workforce infrastructure institutions.
The founder serves as inaugural Chief Executive in order to set the Foundation's development, capital, operating, and coalition model into motion — and will, in due course, transition to the governance posture appropriate to a mature national operating foundation.
Expanding governance
The Foundation's Board of Directors is being constituted to include independent directors of national stature drawn from affordable housing finance, first-responder leadership, academic medicine, and institutional governance.
Director appointments and biographies will be published here as the Board is seated.
Open books. Documented stewardship.
